Good News & Mulberry Flowers Update!

Hey everyone, I have a good news! The people at Pos Malaysia has contacted me regarding my detained parcel and I only need to pay a 10% tax! That's really awesome because business is a little slow this month, now that everyone is preparing for Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day.

I will be receiving my big box of clear stamps soon and with the tax, I will have to increase the price of my clear stamps a tad bit. It's just for this shipment, though. Prices will go back to normal for my next shipment.

I will also be updating Crafty Heart with new brads and clear blocks some time this week. In the mean time, here are the pics of my latest mulberry flowers, imported from Thailand!

Have fun browsing and have a great week!

Plastic Surgery Addiction

Have you read any gossip magazines or gossip blogs lately? Well here's another hot story, just to divert you a little bit from all things crafting.

Just look at Heidi Montag in the picture below. Look at her before and after shots, doesn't she look amazing? I don't quite fancy her chest after, though. I think she looks even better before her plastic surgery. Now, after all those alteration and everything, she looks unnaturally perfect and she looks like a wax statue, in my humble opinion.

Heidi Montag, star of MTV's The Hills, claims to be a plastic surgery addict. I think it is ridiculous. After watching a few episodes of Nip/Tuck, I know plastic surgeries are painful, especially the recovering period. Ouch! Wouldn't want to get a Los Angeles plastic surgery, unless it's a life and death situation.

What do you think about this? Do you think that addiction to plastic surgery is possible or is it just an unhealthy obsession to look perfect in the eyes of the media? I'm not trying to bash Heidi Montag up for undergoing those plastic surgeries, but I'm only saying that I am against changing your body surgically to try to look perfect. That is all.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this issue.

Homebuyers, Get Your $8,000 Tax Credit

When I first came across the term "tax credit", I wasn't sure what the phrase means. All I know is that anything to do with tax requires us to pay up, unless the word "tax" comes with the word "free".

Nevertheless, for those living in the USA, here's a good news regarding the 2010 Homebuyer Tax Credits. If you are a first time homebuyer or if you have not purchased or owned any house in the previous three years, you are eligible to receive up to a $8,000 Tax Credit. Otherwise, if you have a home and have been living in it consecutively for 5 out of 8 years, you can receive up to a $6,500 tax credit.

Other benefits of tax credit include a higher income limits, which are $125,000 for singles and $225,000 for married couples. In addition to that, both singles and couples can enjoy a $20,000 phase-out of the credit.

However, there may be no future extension for tax credit, so all qualified homebuyers are encouraged to act and have their binding contract documented and finalised by April 30th, 2010.

To know more about tax credit and its benefits, you can view the video below. Hopefully it will help guide you in understanding more about real estate, especially for first time homeowners.

Crafting Goodies Make Me Happy

I went out with Yenny and Dhiya yesterday. Dhiya is such a sweet person! We went to Craft Haven and she actually bought these scrapbooking goodies for my very belated birthday! They're very pretty and I love them very much. It was a surprise too, which makes it sweeter. Thanks so much Dhiya. :)

If you don't know who Dhiya is, she's a talented card-maker and she sells her handmade cards on her store, Diyadeary. Why don't you visit her and give her some love, k?

Have a great weekend, everyone!

I'm A Worry Wart

My brother is waiting for his SPM result. Naturally, I'm worried about him, since I live away from home and he has no one else to guide him. I mean, of course we chat every day, now that he has Internet access at home, but it's just not enough.

I really hope he doesn't need to write any personal essays when applying for colleges later. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to help him much via phone calls or chats.I have written my fair share of essays, since I had to write tonnes of technical papers during my university years. I have found a website that would help my brother in finding interesting research paper topics and this would be beneficial for him when he starts college.

I hope he'll do well and will be able to get the course that he applied for. Do pray for him! Thank you in advance.
